The amended Electronic Communications Act (Official Gazette No. 109/2012; hereinafter ZEKom-1), which entered into force in early 2013, implements new rules regarding the use of cookies and similar technologies for storing or accessing information stored on a computer or a mobile device. Cookies are not considered a novelty; the law only intervened into the method of communication and consent of the website users regarding their use.
